1. 2D Graphic Artist (Reference: IND-2D

As a member of the dynamic team of Pixel Art at Gameloft studio in Yogyakarta - Indonesian, you will take part in the graphic production for Gameloft’s world-acclaimed mobile games.

Among a given team of producer, game designers, programmers, and testers, your daily mission is to conceive or execute graphic elements and art works for creation or large-scale deployment game projects.

Requirements:

• Creativity, competency of hand-drawing and sprite design;
• Proficiency in drawing software (Photoshop etc), ability to draw and create animations on a pixel basis (low resolution infography) with Photoshop;
• Interest and experience in playing video games;
• Experience in video game or in cartoon/comics would be welcome;
• Higher education degree in fine arts, applied art etc (applications from self-taught candidates are also accepted);

2. 3D Graphic Artist (Reference: IND-3DA)

As a member of graphic team at Yogyakarta Studio, you will take part in the graphic production for Gameloft’s world-acclaimed mobile games.

In collaboration with other production teams, your main tasks will consist of modeling characters and 3D backgrounds (low resolution) and creating textures (adapted for low resolution).

Requirements:

• Video game enthusiast;
• Excellent understanding of human anatomy and motion;
• Excellent knowledge of design basics (relief, lighting, composition, perspective, colors, etc.);
• Excellent knowledge of 3DS MAX (experience in Character Studio) and Photoshop;
• Excellent knowledge in textures, texturing and painting is a plus (ZBrush, etc.);
• Ability to work under pressure, autonomous, responsible and well-organized;
• Open-minded and knowledgeable in contemporary media (web, games, comics, film, animation, etc.);

3. Game Designer (Reference: IND-GD)

As a member of the game design team of Gameloft studio in Yogyakarta - Indonesian, and under the responsibility of the Lead Game Designer as well as Producer, you will be in charge of the design of top quality mobile games for international markets.

The daily missions include:

• Study and master original designs of a wide range of game genres;
• Creatively modify, adapt or produce gameplay contents, concepts, level layouts and designs;
• Under producer’s coordination, work with artists and programmers to make sure that the creative vision is fulfilled.

Requirements:

• Passionate and enthusiastic about 2D and 3D video games in a wide variety of genres and on various gaming platforms (Playstation, XBOX, Nintendo, PC etc);
• Good understanding of their environments, control systems and general usability rules;
• Thorough understanding of video games and their commercial appeal to the general public;
• Good English writing skill, ability to document ideas, concepts, and design systematically and in a style that that is easy to understand;

4. Programmer: (Reference: IND-PRG)

As a member of Gameloft’s top-level engineering team in Indonesia Studio, report to Team Leader and Producer, your day-to-day work consists of programming and optimizing codes to create and port video games on a wide range of mobile phones. You will take part in projects involving various
Gameloft studios around the world such as US, Europe, etc, and will work closely with project managers and other departments of the studio such as quality assurance, game design, and graphic art to deliver high-quality mobile games for international markets.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Java or C/C++ or HD+
• Bachelor degree or equivalent in computer science is preferable;
• Knowledge of J2ME, BREW, Symbian, iPhone OS or 3D programming is a plus;
• Knowledge of graphic development (2D&3D). Experience in game programming is a plus;

5. Programmer C++: (Reference: IND-PRG)

As a member of Gameloft’s talented team in Yogyakarta Studio, report to Team Leader and Producer your day-to-day work consists of development, coding and debugging, integrating graphics, sound, and other game components, to deliver video games on high-end mobile devices integrating state-of-the-art technologies (Android, Symbian, Windows Phone 7, Brew, etc).

You will take part in the full cycle development of mobile games from start to finish, in connection with Gameloft international teams in America, Europe and Asia. Gameloft products are among the top-rated mobile games on major international markets.

Requirements:

• Excellent C/C++; (knowledge of Java is a plus);
• Good knowledge of Android/Symbian/WindowsPhone7/Brew development is definitely an asset;

Occupying the key position in game production process at Gameloft Indonesian Studio, you will coordinate project teams to develop world-class mobile games for international markets.

Your daily responsibilities consist of:

• Planning, coordinating and supervising the mobile game development cycle implemented by different teams, from the conception stage to the finalization stage (Game design, Programming, Graphics, Quality assurance etc);
• Actively communicating with Head Quarter Producers as well as development teams in other countries;
• Constantly controlling the game quality and the project status to make sure that the games are delivered on time and match Gameloft’s high quality standards.

Gempa Susulan 2 Kali Terjadi, Berkekuatan Lebih Rendah

Jakarta - Dua gempa susulan terjadi di Nangroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD) pasca gempa berkekuatan 7,2 SR pada pukul 05.15 WIB. Namun, gempa susulan itu berkekuatan lebih rendah.

Data dari Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG), Rabu (7/4/2010), gempa susulan pertama terjadi pukul 05.26 WIB dengan kekuatan 5,1 SR.

Gempa dengan kedalaman 24 Km itu terjadi di 2.30 LU - 96.87 BT 24 atau 60 Km Tenggara Sinabang, Aceh.

Sementara itu, gempa susulan kedua terjadi 2 menit kemudian dengan kekuatan 5,0 SR. Titik pusat gempa berada tidak jauh dari gempa susulan pertama dengan kedalaman 10 Km.

Dua gempa terakhir diprediksi tidak akan menimbulkan gelombang tsunami. Akan tetapi, peringatan tsunami atas gempa 7,2 SR belum dicabut oleh BMKG.

The SCG Foundation is pleased to grant up to 6 full scholarships for individuals wishing to study at the Master of Arts Program in International Development Studies (MAIDS) at Chulalongkorn University for the upcoming 2010-2011 academic year.

Please note that in previous years the scholarship was limited to full-time government employees or civil servants, but it is now open to non-governmental workers, students, and other individuals with a background in development, as well as government employees.

Scholarships are open to government workers, non-profit sector employees, students and other individuals with a background in development from each of the following Southeast Asian countries:

The SCG Foundation and the MAIDS programme will seek to distribute one scholarship per country.

2. Scholarship Coverage

I) Living Expenses

3. Scholarship Conditions:

II) SCG Foundation Scholars are expected to graduate within the prescribed 12 month period (excluding the pre-session course). Students who are required to enroll in additional semester(s) will have to bear the additional cost of living and tuition fees.

III) SCG Foundation Scholars must not be employed – either part-time or full-time – during their studies/scholarship tenure.

IV) Following graduation, SCG Foundation Scholars are expected to return to work for their home governments for a period of two years.

4. MAIDS Program Admission Requirements:

I) Entry Requirements

- Applicants should possess a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in the social sciences with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0.

- Applicants should also have 2 years work experience in a related field. Mature students, junior to mid-level government officials with experience in development are encouraged to apply.

II) English Language Requirements

Candidates will be required to demonstrate an acceptable level of language proficiency. Applicants should have achieved an English language score of at least 6.0 on the British Council IELTS, 550 in the paper-based TOEFL, 213 in the computer-based TOEFL, or 550 in CU-TEP (Chulalongkorn University Test of English Proficiency). These three above-mentioned tests are the only ones excepted by Chulalongkorn University. Please also note English tests scores must be less than two years old at the time of application.

Please note that these scores, although a minimum requirement for admission, do not guarantee successful admission or completion of the program. The candidate should feel comfortable writing graduate-level academic essays and participating in class discussions in English.

• Transcripts: Applicants must submit an original or certified copy of their transcript from the college or university previously attended. Transcripts that are not in Thai or English must be translated and certified in the English language.

If you are currently enrolled in an academic programme, please submit an official report of your current mid-term grades. You can send your final grades at a later date when they become available.

• Photocopy of previous degree(s)

• English language test scores (if applicable): The programme accepts photocopies of English test scores (TOEFL, IELTS, CU-TEP) for the application process. Please note, however, that the admitted students will have to present the original score record to Chulalongkorn University at the beginning of the academic year.

Alternatively, the student can have ETS, the company that administers TOEFL, send the score directly to the programme. Chulalongkorn University ’s TOEFL institutional code is 0227. The MAIDS programme does not have a departmental code registered with ETS, so make sure to write clearly “M.A. in International Development Studies, Faculty of Political Science” on the score report request form.

• Letters of recommendation: Applicants are required to ask two instructors or employers familiar with their work to send sealed letters of recommendation with letterhead and original signatures. Please also provide the following reference form to your referees and ask them to fill it out:

Please return the unopened envelope to the MAIDS Office with the application form. The referee also has the option of sending the reference directly to the MAIDS Office.

• Curriculum Vitae/Resume: The resume must provide information on current and past employment, academic awards and scholarships, international travel, publications, and extracurricular activities, including volunteer work.

• Statement of Purpose: The statement of purpose should be between 600 and 1000 words, and include the following elements:

- Describe your most valued experience or accomplishment.
- Describe your research interests, and outline a tentative topic for your M.A. thesis.
- Describe your career expectations (personal and professional objectives), and explain how the M.A. in International Development Studies at Chulalongkorn will help you achieve these goals.

• Writing Sample: The MAIDS programme requires all applicants to submit a sample of their critical or analytical writing. This may be a paper written for an undergraduate course, a published academic or journalistic article, or another appropriate writing sample. Applicants should briefly explain – using a separate document – the context in which the sample was originally written, including information on the nature of the publication in which it appeared, and the date of publication.

The objective of the sample writing is to assess the applicants’ analytical and writing skills. The ability to write clearly in English – both for native and non-native speakers – is essential to fulfill the written requirements for this M.A. programme in International Development Studies.

• Photocopy of ID Card (for Thai applicants) or passport (for non-Thai applicant) .

• Two photographs: Applicants must submit two recent one inch photographs.

• Application fee: There is a non-refundable application fee of 800 Thai baht .

The fees can be paid in cash at the MAIDS office, or deposited directly in the programme’s bank account (see details below). If the money is transferred to the programme’s account the applicant must submit a photocopy of the bank transfer receipt with the application. Applicant Interviews

The MAIDS admissions team may decide to interview applicants by phone or in person if it is viewed as necessary. The purpose of the interview is usually to ensure that students have an adaquate understanding of development issues combined with an appropriate level of English language proficiency to complete their M.A. degree within the prescribed 12-month period.

MAIDS Pre-Session

Shortlisted students who are accepted to the programme following their interview may also be required to participate in a four-week intensive introductory session in Bangkok prior to the beginning of classes in October. Korean Language Program

The Korean Language Program, offered by the Geumgang Language Center, is open to those foreign students, including ethnic Koreans, who are interested in the Korean language and culture. Applicants must be fluent speakers of English, Japanese, or Chinese, and they should

(1) be currently enrolled in university studies,
(2) be on leave from university studies, or
(3) have graduated from university.

This program has primarily been designed with a view to promoting a better understanding of Korean culture on the part of foreigners and to creating an environment where Korean students will be exposed to foreign languages (English, Japanese, and Chinese) and cultures.

Admission to the Program

The successful applicant will be offered a furnished dormitory room, which is shared with a Korean student, and provided with free meals in the school cafeteria. Moreover, they will receive further financial support provided that they meet the scholarship regulations of the Geumgnag Language Center.

The successful candidate will implement a research project on the weather insurancedesign. The project will be financed by SwissNational Science Foundation and an ETHZurich internal PhD-grant. The
objective of the project is to enhance the methodology of the weather insurance contract design considering conditions of limited relevance and applicability of historical data. The project will focus on the
application of extremal dependence analysis and elaboration of the methodology for the utilization of a priori information available in the form of climate change projections. The project will be conducted based on historical data, climate change projections and results of crop simulation models for Kazakhstan where grain producers are especially prone to risk of drought.

The basic requirements are:
• A master degree in Mathematics, Economics, Agricultural Economics;
• Strong background in Probability Theory and quantitative methods;
• Programming skills;
• Good command of spoken and written English;As the project will be implemented in collaboration with the scientists from Russia and Kazakhstan, knowledge of Russian would be an asset but is not a prerequisite.

Project description: Modelling terrestrial biogeochemical cycles under changing land use and climate

We seek a PhD student for model analysis of terrestrial biogeochemical cycles and ecosystem processes in response to changing climate and land use/land cover. The work contributes to the project Land Use Today and Tomorrow which aims to identify sustainable pathways for the use of land resources under a range of climate and socioeconomic scenarios. The student will be placed in the Department of Physical Geography and Ecosystems Analysis, Lund University, Sweden.

Tasks: develop the dynamic global vegetation model framework LPJ-GUESS in the ability to model methane emissions and emissions of reactive nitrogen from agricultural ecosystems. The work will involve adopting existing model features (e.g., wetlands and Nordic methane emissions, N-cycle in forest ecosystems) for global application. The work will also contribute to development activities for a formalised analysis of land use change in terms of parameter uncertainty based on conditional probabilistic futures. The project investigates the socioeconomic and environmental constraints on land use, specifically in the context of food-security vs. bioenergy production, applying the coupled economic-ecological modelling framework.

Qualifications

* M.Sc. degree (or equivalent) in computational science or a quantitative environmental sciences discipline, for instance meteorology, environmental physics, environmental engineering. Applications from candidates who are close to completion of their undergraduate studies will also be considered
* Expertise with mathematical modelling of ecological processes
* Excellent programming skills (e.g., C++, Fortran)
* Willingness to communicate research results and to interact within an international research environment

We welcome candidates with enthusiasm for collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, as well as an aptness to pose and solve problems individually. The work involves extensive international collaboration and the candidate must be willing to travel. Excellent written and spoken English is a requirement.

The position will be available from c. April 2010, for a period of four years. Lund is a pleasant university town in southern Sweden with excellent connections to Copenhagen International airport.

SLEMAN, KOMPAS.com - Sebuah struktur yang diduga kuat sebagai bagian dari candi zaman Mataram Kuno ditemukan dalam suatu penggalian proyek pembangunan perpustakaan di kampus Universitas Islam Indonesia, Sleman, Yogyakarta, Sabtu (12/12/09). Candi itu diperkirakan berusia lebih dari seribu tahun dan kemungkinan berstruktur besar.

Awalnya, candi ditemukan oleh pekerja proyek yang tengah menggali tanah untuk kolom-kolom fondasi tiang bangunan perpustakaan baru di kampus UII Jalan Kaliurang. "Penemuan terjadi Jumat pagi kemarin, awalnya pekerja mengira itu batu biasa. Tapi setelah digali lebih jauh, ternyata batu itu ada ukiran-ukirannya," ujar Asnawi salah satu staf pengawas proyek.

Dari 24 kolom berukuran 3 x 3 meter dengan kedalaman 3,5 meter itu, tiga kolom di antaranya terdapat batu-batu candi. Satu bagian yang diduga sebagai pinggiran candi masih tersusun rapi dengan panjang 2,7 meter dan lebar 50 centimeter.

Beberapa batuan candi ada yang rusak karena penggalian sempat menggunakan alat berat. Tadinya, kolom fondasi ini hanya akan digali sedalam 3 meter. Tapi karena ada perubahan rencana, maka ditambahkan kedalamannya 50 centimeter. "Kalau tidak ada penambahan itu, kemungkinan candi ini tidak akan terungkap," ujar Asnawi.

Ketua Kelompok Kerja Perlindungan Balai Pelestarian Peninggalan Purbakala Yogyakarta Indung Panca Putra langsung menurunkan tim ke lapangan pada Sabtu pagi. Indung juga mengatakan telah meminta pelaksana proyek dan pihak kampus untuk menghentikan sementara pembangunan perpustakaan itu untuk penelitian lebih jauh terhadap candi tersebut.

Dari perkiraan sementara, Indung juga mengatakan candi itu berasal dari abad IX-X Masehi pada zaman kerajaan Mataram Kuno. Namun, raja yang memerintahkan pembangunan serta fungsi candi ini, apakah untuk pemakaman atau pemujaan, masih harus diteliti lebih jauh.

Fees & Period of Study

The tuition fee for the programme is S$68,000/- (Sixty-Eight Thousand Singapore Dollars) and covers the academic year from July of the current year to June of the following year(see the academic calendar).

The tuition fee covers the tuition at NBS-NTU, MIT Sloan and Wharton; one Overseas Business Studies Mission (airfare, transportation, accommodation and limited meals), computer fees and examination fees. The fee is payable in one lump sum upon successful registration.

The fee does not include the cost of airfare (country of origin to Singapore; Singapore to homeland; Singapore to USA), transportation and accommodation in Singapore and USA.

General Information & Requirements

General

A prestigious programme funded by the British Government (Foreign and Commonwealth Office) and administered by the British Council.
Over 1000 scholarships awarded in Indonesia since 1984.
This year up to 35 full scholarships are offered for one year Master degrees.
Courses at various universities and professional institutions in the UK including courses in media, finance, economics, politics, law, management, engineering, gender, environment, democracy etc.
A very competitive scheme. Only the best applicants are invited for further test and interview.

When to apply?

The Selection process

Initial selection is based on the quality of the written application. You do not need to attach any documents with the application form.
Successful applicants will be notified and invited for an English test/interview in January 2008.
The English test and interviews will be held in Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan and Makassar.
The results of the interviews will be announced by letter.
Candidates achieving an IELTS score of at least 6.5, and who are accepted by a UK university for an appropriate subject (approved by the Embassy) will be awarded a full scholarship.
English language training is included as part of the scholarship (only if required). Candidates from outside Jakarta are supported during the period of the course.
Whilst undergoing English language training in Jakarta, candidates are briefed by British Embassy and British Council staff and are given guidance on course selection and application procedures.
The academic year in the UK commences in September/October. After completing the English courses (around May) candidates are normally advised to return to their employment. The British Council then keeps in touch with candidates about their departure arrangements. Further briefing on the departure arrangements is provided one month prior to departure.
The final number of scholarships granted is determined by the British Embassy.

PNS Dapat Dokter Keluarga 24 Jam di 2010

Jakarta, Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) akan makin diperhatikan kesehatannya dengan adanya program dokter keluarga 24 jam di tahun 2010. Dengan adanya dokter keluarga tersebut, kesehatan PNS bisa terkontrol dan tak perlu repot bolak-balik ke rumah sakit.

Hal itu disampaikan Direktur Operasional PT Askes, Dr Umbu M Marisi dalam acara jumpa pers dan peluncuran program 'Innovation for Life' di Hotel Manhattan, Kuningan Jakarta, Rabu (2/12/2009).

Program yang merupakan kerjasama PT Askes dan perusahaan farmasi Sanofi Aventis itu bertujuan untuk memberikan akses dan kesempatan pada masyarakat pengguna Askes agar dapat memperoleh pelayanan kesehatan dan obat yang berkualitas tapi murah.

Menurut Umbu, 56 persen masyarakat Indonesia tidak punya kemampuan berobat ke rumah sakit. Untuk itu, jaminan kesehatan sangatlah penting. "Bayangkan jika seorang karyawan yang punya penyakit ginjal harus cuci darah seumur hidupnya sedangkan gajinya hanya Rp 4-5 juta per bulan. Padahal biaya satu kali cuci darah mencapai Rp 5-6 juta. Dari mana dapat uang sebanyak itu? Jadi solusinya adalah, semua orang harus punya jaminan kesehatan," ujar Umbu.

Proram dokter keluarga bagi PNS ini diharapkan mampu memberi kemudahan bagi para PNS agar memiliki kualitas kesehatan yang lebih baik. "Kesehatan itu kan investasi, karena kalau tidak sehat tidak bisa bekerja dengan produktif. Dokter keluarga diharapkan bisa menjaga investasi itu," tuturnya.

Prinsip dari dokter keluarga ini adalah setiap PNS akan memiliki dokter yang bisa mengontrol kesehatannya dan juga mengobati penyakit yang dideritanya. Satu dokter keluarga diperkirakan akan menangani sekitar 2.000 PNS.

"Saat ini kami masih melakukan medical check up untuk mengumpulkan informasi tentang riwayat kesehatan PNS. Hasil medical check up itu kemudian akan dikonsultasikan pada keluarganya, dan dokter akan terus memantau serta memberi edukasi kesehatan pada pegawai beserta keluarganya. Jika perlu, dokter keluarga juga akan mengonsultasikan ke dokter spesialis dan meresepkan obat bagi pasien, sehingga pasien tidak perlu repot-repot lagi datang ke rumah sakit," jelas Umbu.

"Saat ini di Indonesia ada sekitar 16 juta PNS, jadi dibutuhkan sekitar 8.000 dokter keluarga untuk menanganinya. Dokter itu nanti akan ditempatkan sesuai domisili PNS itu berada, tapi lebih diutamakan bagi mereka yang di pelosok-pelosok daerah," tambahnya.

Keuntungan mempunyai dokter keluarga yaitu bisa menghubungi dan melayani pasien selama 24 jam, bahkan bisa juga mengunjungi rumah pasien. Program dokter keluarga ini pernah diuji cobakan dulu sebelumnya di Jawa Timur apda tahun 2007-2008, dan hasilnya cukup menggembirakan karena rata-rata PNS disana memiliki kesehatan yang lebih baik.

Mereka yang ditunjuk sebagai dokter keluarga harus memperoleh sertifikat terlebih dahulu dari Perhimpunan Dokter Keluarga Indonesia (PDKI). Hingga saat ini, tercatat ada 20.000 dokter keluarga yang tergabung dalam perhimpunan itu.

"Mereka juga harus mau diganggu 24 jam dan memberi edukasi kesehatan pada pasien tanpa terburu-buru. Biasanya dokter kan inginnya cepat-cepat konsultasi dan memberi resep. Diharapkan satu dokter keluarga ini bisa menangani minimal 10 orang pasien dengan rata-rata konsultasinya 1 jam. Untuk itu, insentif dokter keluarga juga akan cukup tinggi," kata Umbu.

Kevin diketahui pernah membobol jaringan komputer milik perusahaan telekomunikasi besar seperti Nokia, Fujitsu and Motorola.

Kevin Mitnick ditangkap FBI pada Januari 1995 di apartemennya di kota Raleigh, North Carolina atas tuduhan penyerangan terhadap pemerintahan. Saat ini, ia berprofesi sebagai seorang konsultan keamanan sistem jaringan komputer.

2. Kevin Poulson
Jauh sebelum menjadi senior editor di Wired News, Pria bernama lengkap Kevin Lee Poulsen ini dikenal sebagai seorang hacker jempolan. Pria kelahiran Pasadena Amerika Serikat, 1965 ini pernah membobol jaringan telepon tetap milik stasiun radio Los Angeles KIIS-FM, sehingga ia seringkali memenangkan kuis-kuis radio. Bahkan lewat kuis telepon via radio ia bisa memenangkan sebuah hadiah utama, mobil Porsche.

3. Adrian Lamo
Nama Adrian Lamo sering dijuluki sebagai 'the homeless hacker' pasalnya ia sering melakukan aksi-aksinya di kedai-kedai kopi, perpustakaan atau intenetcafe. Aksinya yang paling mendapatkan perhatian adalah ketika ia membobol jaringan milik perusahaan Media, New York Times dan Microsoft, MCI WorldCom, Ameritech, Cingular. Tak hanya itu, ia juga berhasil menyusupi sistem milik AOL Time Warner, Bank of America, Citigroup, McDonald's and Sun Microsystems. Kini pria tersebut berprofesi sebagai seorang jurnalis.

4. Stephen Wozniak
'Woz' begitu ia biasa disapa. Saat ini mungkin lebih dikenal sebagai seorang pendiri Apple. Tapi saat menjadi mahasiswa, Wozniak pernah menjadi seorang hacker yang cukup mumpuni. Pria berusia 59 tahun itu diketahui pernah membobol jaringan telepon yang memungkinkannya menelepon jarak jauh tanpa membayar sedikit pun dan tanpa batas waktu. Alat yang dibuat semasa menjadi mahasiswa itu dikenal dengan nama 'blue boxes'

5. Loyd Blankenship
Pria berjuluk The Mentor ini pernah menjadi anggota grup hacker kenamaan tahun 1980 Legion Of Doom. Blakenship adalah penulis buku The Conscience of a Hacker (Hacker Manifesto). Buku yang ditulis setelah ia ditangkap dan diumumkan dalam ezine hacker bawah tanah Phrack.

6. Michael Calce
Sejak usia muda Calce memang dikenal sebagai seorang Hacker. Aksinya membobol situs-situs komersial dunia dilakukannya ketika ia berusia 15 tahun. Pria yang menggunakan nama MafiaBoy dalam setiap aksinya itu, ditangkap ketika membobol pada tahun 2000 mengacak-acak eBay, Amazon and Yahoo.

7. Robert Tappan Morris
Nama Morris dikenal sebagai seorang pembuat virus internet pada tahun 1988, atau dikenal sebagai 'Morris Worm' yang diketahui merusak sekira 6.000 komputer. Akibat ulahnya ia dikenai sanksi untuk bekerja sosial selama 4000 jam. Kini ia bekerja sebagai pendidik di Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

8. The Masters Of Deception
The Masters Of Deception (MoD) merupakan kelompok hacker yang berbasis di New York. Kelompok ini sering mengganggu jaringan telepon milik perusahaan telekomunikasi seperti AT&T. Sejumlah anggota kelompok ini ditangkap pada tahun 1992 dan dijebloskan ke penjara.

9. David L. Smith
Smith dikenal sebagai penemu Mellisa worm, yang pertama kali ditemukan pada 26 Maret 1999. Mellisa sering juga dikenal sebagai "Mailissa", "Simpsons", "Kwyjibo", atau "Kwejeebo". Virus ini didistribusikan lewat email. Smith sendiri akhirnya diseret ke penjara karena virusnya telah menyebabkan kerugian sekira USD80 juta

10. Sven Jaschan

Applications are invited for the 2010 Heliophysics Summer School, to be held in Boulder, Colorado. NASA Living With a Star sponsors the program, and it is hosted by the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research, Visiting Scientist Programs.

The Summer School has two principal aims:
1. to deepen the appreciation of the basic science of heliophysics for a select group of students as teachers take them through highly interactive seminars and hands-on working groups, and
2. expand the newly-published textbook series to include labs, problem sets, and more background material, from which heliophysics may be taught at universities worldwide.

The 2010 program will focus on teaching graduate level students the fundamentals of heliophysics along with the cause and effects of space storms. The first two textbook volumes will be used as teaching tools:

* Heliophysics I Plasma Physics of the Local Cosmos
* Heliophysics II: Space Storms and Radiation: Causes and Effects

Approximately 30 students will be selected through a competitive process organized by UCAR to participate in the summer school. Each participant will receive air travel, lodging and per diem.

The 2010 summer school deans are Drs. Amitava Bhattacharjee (University of New Hampshire), Dana Longcope (University of Montana), and Jan Sojka (Utah State University). The deans will identify teachers and guest speakers in the coming months.

The summer school is sponsored by the Living With a Star program of the Heliophysics Division in NASA’s Science Mission Directorate. The UCAR Visiting Scientist Programs office administers the summer school.

A successful candidate should:
* Major in physics with an emphasis on astrophysics, geophysics, plasma physics, and space physics, or have research experience in at least one of these areas.
* Plan to pursue a career in heliophysics or astrophysics.
* Be an enrolled graduate student in any phase of training or first or second year postdoctoral fellow.

IIEF bekerja sama dengan East-West Center memberikan beasiswa program gelar pascasarjana bagi perorangan yang tertarik untuk mengikuti program pendidikan dan penelitian guna menempuh studi pascasarjana di University of Hawaii, Manoa.

Beasiswa ini tersedia untuk program gelar S2 (24 bulan) dan S3 (48 bulan). General Information

IIEF entrusted to manage SMBC Global Foundation Scholarship. Program is sponsored by SMBC (Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation) Global Foundation, Inc.

Scholarships will be given to students doing their undergraduate studies starting from their fourth semester to the odd semester on a yearly basis. The scholarship given covers the tuition fee, living costs, books allowance, and final thesis. Those who can apply for this program is a students of bachelor degree (S1) from University of Indonesia, University of Padjajaran, and University of Trisakti.

“Au pair” adalah program untuk Anda, laki-laki dan perempuan usia 18-30 tahun untuk tinggal dan mengurus satu keluarga Prancis serta untuk belajar bahasa prancis di Prancis. Shanghai Government Scholarships 2009 for Master and Doctoral Studies at East China University of Science and Technology - Beaiswa S2 & S3

According to the Interim Regulations of Shanghai Government Scholarship for International Students (hereafter referred to as the Scholarship), this detailed implementation for international students in ECUST has hereby been set forth.

The scholarship is divided into Type A and B. Type A, as a full scholarship, covers tuition, basic learning material, accommodation; it provides insurance for major diseases and accidents; living allowance is offered monthly: 1700 RMB for master student and 2000 RMB for PHD student. It is awarded to applicants for masters and above. The numbers to be awarded is 10 each year.

Type B is semi-scholarship, including tuition, basic learning material and accommodation. It will be awarded to applicants for masters and above. The numbers to be awarded is 6 each year.

REQUIREMENTS

* Citizens with foreign nationalities and in good health;
* Abide by the Chinese government’s laws, rules and regulations and school regulatory framework;
* Study earnestly with good results;
* Applicants for the Doctorate program must already have a Master’s degree and be less than 40 years old;
* Applicants for a Masters Degree must already have a Bachelors degree and be less than 35 years old;
* Students shall not receive other scholarships offered by Chinese government during the same period.

REGISTRATION

Recipients of the scholarship should register at the university on time otherwise the scholarship will be withdrawn and the applicant will be considered to have automatically abandoned their studies.

The University will submit copies of the application material to the Shanghai Education Committee for registration one month after the evaluation.

Final interpretation of this detailed implementation is a right reserved by the International Education School Scholarship Evaluation Committee.

EVALUATION

Applicants should send the application materials directly to School of International Education, ECUST. IES will confirm the validity of the application material and send them to corresponding Schools for assessment and then collect them back.

Hart Regen in Borobudur

In diesem Schreiben will ich Ihnen über meine unvergeßliche Erfahrung erzählen. Vor zwei Monaten planten ich und meine Freunde, zu Borobudur zu gehen. Ich koordinierte meine Freunde, dass um wieviel Uhr und durch was wir dort gingen. Dann, nachdem wir Besprechen durch SMS, wir ein Geschäft machten, dass wir gingen, ein Auto vermietend, und wir uns in meiner Pension versammelten.

Als die Zeit kam, nach meinen Freunden gesammelt gingen wir zusammen am Morgen. Die Reise nahm 45 Minuten und in der Mitte der Reise, wir kauften Rambutan Frucht nahe Mertoyudan. Als wir auf der Reise waren, war das Wetter so hell. Nachdem wir ankamen, gingen wir direkt, um die Karten zu kaufen. Als wir zum Tempel spazierengingen, sollten wir Zeit beisete legen, um Bilder um den Blume-Garten zu nehmen.

Dann, nachdem wir auf dem Tempel ankamen, nahmen wir Bilder wieder. Aber nicht so lange plötzlich fiel der Regen sehr schwer, so daß wir Zeit nicht hatten, um uns zu sparen. Weil wir uns nicht vorbereiteten, einen Regenschirm zu bringen, waren unsere Körper ganz naß. Wir versuchten, uns unter der Steinentlastung zu verbergen. Weil Gott uns liebt, sandte Er uns jemanden, die einen Regenschirm vermieten. Dann vermieteten wir mehrere Regenschirme für uns, Rp 5000, - für jeden Regenschirm bezahlend.

Durch Verwenden von den Regenschirmen gingen wir zum Parkplatz spazieren. Als wir Paß(kritische Lage) die Andenken-Geschäfte spazierengingen, kauften wir Kleider, so dass wir unser Hemd und Hose ändern konnten. Nachdem wir die Kleider änderten, gingen wir zum Auto spazieren, und wir befehlen ging, um zu Jogja zu gehen. Schließlich erreichten wir Jogja am Abend.

Also, das ist meine ganze unvergeßliche Erfahrung. Warum? Weil während aller in meinem Leben ich zu Borobudur für oft ging, gab es keinen Regen. Aber in dieser Zeit, nicht nur der Regen, aber auch der schwere Regen bis waren alle meine Kleider und Körper naß.

Hard Rain in Borobudur

In this writing, I want to tell you about my unforgettable experience. Two months ago, I and my friends planned to go to Borobudur. I coordinated my friends that what time and by what we went there. Then, after we discussing via SMS, we made a deal that we went by renting a car and we gathered in my boarding house.

When the time came, after my friends gathered, we went together in the morning. The trip took 45 minutes and in the middle of the trip, we bought Rambutan fruit near Mertoyudan. When we were on the trip, the weather was so bright. After we arrived , we directly went to buy the tickets. When we were walking to the Temple, we were to set aside time for taking pictures around the flower garden.

Then after we arrived on the Temple, we took pictures again. But not so long, suddenly the rain fell very hard so that we did not have time to save ourselves. Because we did not prepare to bring an umbrella, our bodies were all wet. We tried to hide ourselves among the stones relief. Because God loves us, He sent us someone who rent an umbrella. Then we rented several umbrellas for us by paying Rp 5000,- for each umbrella.

By using the umbrellas, we walked to the parking lot. When we were walking pass the souvenir shops, we bought clothes so we could change our shirt and trousers. After we changed the clothes, we walked to the car and we direct went to go to Jogja. Finally, we arrived at Jogja at the evening.

So, that is all my unforgettable experience. Why? Because during all in my life I went to Borobudur for many times, there was no rain. But at that time, not only the rain, but also the hard rain until all my clothes and body were wet.

Normalerweise,i call her "Bra"....hehhehe...Sie ist niedlich,freundlich,ganz nett,intelligent und komisch.Sie studiere Fremdenverkehr(Magister of Tourism) an der Gadjah Mada Universität.Sie hat einen lange Haar.Wir oft reise zu machen,Essen zusammen und scwhimmen.

"Bra".....itu panggilan sayangku buat sylvia hehhehehe....dia selalu uring2an n membalas memanggilku nink nonk nink gunk hehehhe...that's so funny.She is my best friend in German course.Aq belajar banyak hal selama berteman dengannya.Hidupku lebih berwarna dan membuat q lebih optimis dalam menghadapi setiap masalah yang datang.SYLVIA...A first person i honored to know...Hope we can be friend forever....

Suatu ketika kita mau oral test German,kalau tidak salah di level 4 German.Qt belajar membuat percakapan dengan duduk di bawah pohon di halaman PUSMAN UGM (Pusat Studi Jerman). Ini hasil percakapan nink ma sylv waktu di pusman,saat itu kita lagi mempersiapkan diri tuk Sprechenprüfungen (oral test) sama Frau lia.Kita membuat percakapan dengan berbagai situasi,tujuannya seh supaya ujian ntar lancar hehhehe...begini ini hasilnya:

nink : Ich habe Bachelor Degree in der Informatik im Gadjah Mada Universitt. Ich habe im 2007 gerade bestanden. Deshalb habe ich keine Berufserfahrung.

(nink mendapatkan 3 panggilan kerja sehingga dia bingung mau memilih yang mana.Sehingga meminta Ibunya untuk membantu menentukan pilihan yang tepat)

Nink : Mutter,ich bin verwirrt!
Mutter : Ja,was ist das denn?
Nink : Ich habe eine Stelle vor einige Monate beworben. Jetzt habe ich drei Angeboten.
Mutter : Na gut. Was denkst du?
Nink : Ich weißt nicht,was ist am besten für mich!
Mutter : Was sind die Angeboten?
Nink : Zum ersten mal,von der A Firma als Sekretärin.
Mutter : Und das zweite Angebote? Wo und was sind die Stellen?
Nink : Von der Firma B und Firma C als Programierer.
Mutter : Ich finde du bist besser als Programierer weil es deine Studium ist.
Nink : Da bin ich sicher. Ich finde Programierer ist besser als Sekretärin.
Mutter : Und welche Firma willst du wählen?
Nink : Firma C ist so weit.Ich muss mehr 30 minuten fahren. Das gefällt mir nicht.
Mutter : Wie ist das Gehalt,im vergleich mit der Firma B?
Nink : Ich denke das Gehalt von der Firma B ist Großes als Firma C.
Mutter : Also wählt Firma B.
Nink : OK Mutter,vielen dank.

* Kasus : Komplain tentang mobil *

(Sylvia komplain kepada nink selaku pemilik showroom,sylvia mau mengambil mobilnya sesuai dengan jadwal yang sudah dijanjikan,tetapi pada saat mau diambil mobilnya belum selesai di reparasi.Karena malam hari itu juga mau dipakai,maka sebagai gantinya nink meminjamkan mobil di showroom nya untuk dipakai sylvia )

Nink : Guten Tag.Was kann ich Ihnen helfen?
Sylv : Guten Tag.Ich möchte Auto abholen.
Nink : Wie heißen Sie,bitte?

Nink : Es tut mir leid.Das Auto will fertig am Morgen.

ÜBER MICH

Als ich noch klein war,wollte ich Lehrerin werden,weil mein Großvater Lehrer war und ich möchte Leute beibringen. Nacher ich schon vertig von der Hochschule, ich möchte studieren zur ITB. Aber leider ich nicht emfangen. God denkt man lenkt. Zum Glück,ich studiere im Gadjah Mada Universität.Früher bin ich unzufrieden,weil UGM ist mein zweiten wahl. Aber jetzt liebe ich mit meinem Studium im Gadjah Mada Universität,weil ich komputer Allerweiser bekommen.

Jetzt studiere ich im zweiten Klasse CIO (Chief Information Officer) an der Gadjah Mada Universität.Ich interresiere mich über es.Nacher will ich ein S3 Stipendium suchen.So,musste ich hart studieren.Damit ich pünktlich mit meinem Studium fertig bin.

Ich war im Nganjuk geboren. Meine Heimat Stadt ist Kediri. Das liegt auf der Java Insel,Indonesien. Kediri ist kleine Stadt. Aber da gibt es eine Große Zigarette Fabrik, wir nennen die Gudang Garam.Tbk. Die Bevölkerung von Kediri arbeiten da. So weit ich weiß,Kediri hat viele Fremdenverkehr. Zum Beispiel, Klotok Berg,Selomangleng Höhle, Maria Höhle (Pohsarang) und Besuki Hügel. Die grenze im Suden ist Blitar, im Norden ist Nganjuk,im Osten ist Malang und im Westen ist Tulungagung.

Jetzt,meine Eltern wöhnen im Nganjuk.Ich habe zwei Scwhester und eins bruder.Sie sind phyta,esty und erick.Phyta ist einundzwanzig Jahre alt,esty ist sechzehn und erick ist achtzehn Jahre alt.Esty und erick sind noch Oberschule und phyta studiere an der Airlangga Universität.

Mein rundes Gesicht,die keine Nase,den kleinen Mund,die kleinen Ohren und die langen Finger habe ich von der Mutter.Aber meine Brauen Augen vom Vater.Mein Hobby sind scwhimmen,reisen,essen,Musik zu hören,gehen,Film sehen und Fußball schauen.Ich esse gerne ein Hackfleischbällchen.Mein LieblingsFußballwettkämpfer ist David Villa.Ich glaube,er ist gut aussehend,intelligent und....ja..ja..ja...sehr gut!! Ich finde daß ist alles über mich.

Inilah tmen2 q di CIO (Chief Information Officer) 4 WE UGM......

Mereka adalah keluarga baru ku di CIO UGM.Teman2 yang sangat unik n punya talenta berbeda-beda. Mulai dari paling kiri atas yaitu bro e2nx,mas ya2k,dian,me,eka,mb dila,si tiar,wahyu n Mr.Bambang. Selanjutnya yang duduk dari kiri bawah yaitu : Mr.Narsis irvan, Mr.Wisnu si pengayom, Mas smart nizar,si ngeres elwi n juragan batik hamid.Ada satu lagi tapi tidak lagi ikut cuti,namanya mb Vina. hehehe.....itulah julukan syang q tuk mereka semua.Dari mereka semua aq belajar banyak hal,bercanda bersama disaat break kuliah,makan bersama,belajar bersama tuk ujian etc. Pokoknya qt smua saling memperhatikan layaknya keluarga.Aq sangat bersyukur bisa berada diantara mereka.

Semoga CIO di Indonesia semakin maju ke depannya (biar qt laris manis hehehhe......!!!)
